Review: Run by Kathryn Lang

Review by Rev. George McVey

“Run.” Her husband’s dying word. And Sara has been running ever since.

From one side of the country to the next, Sarah never stays in one place for long, but you can’t run from the past forever. Eventually, her husband’s past starts to catch up to her and it begins to look like someone knows her every secret. Sara learns that you can’t always run from your past or into your future. Sometimes they are tied together and you have to face the past in order to move into the future.

Will Sara see that, or will she once again Run?

As a pastor, the hidden story intrigued me. Can we reconcile our past with our future and trust that no matter how fast or far we run we can’t outrun the One who has our future in His hands?

This is a well-written novel with an abundance of action and suspense. This is easily the first in what could be a series of captivating spy/mystery novels. It leaves the reader with both a satisfying ending, and a hunger for more.

If you love a good mystery with enough twists and turns to leave you reeling, I suggest you pick up a copy of Run and give it a read. I personally loved the story and can’t wait for a sequel or prequel or whatever the author decides to write next in Sara’s story. Over all I want to know who the “Family” is and where did they come from? I expect I will keep reading until all my questions have been satisfied.
